Over the years Halonen has been a comedic source for late night US TV host Conan O’Brien, her red-haired doppelganger. But earlier this month the joke hit closer to home. An Estonian New Year’s skit to featured a King Kong-sized Halonen making her way through Tallinn’s financial centre. Soon there will be a new president and, no doubt, more good-natured rivalry.
